CrisisPal is a Security Alert app where incidents of multiple nature/types can be reported that has happened anywhere with the possibility of Geo-tagging, incident type, intensity etc. by the App Users (acting as a real-time reporter on the scene). Users can post an alert by dropping a pin on the location he wants to report the incident and creating a Post with specifying incidents details, uploading images, videos and audios for other users of the App to get notified of these incidents where these other App users may also verify the authenticity of these incidents by giving their consent (ideally these would be the users also present on the incident site or within proximity). CrisisPal provides predefined alerts, such as Bomb alert - Shooting alert - Suspicion alert and Emergency alert for quick reports.

CrisisPal is a community based real-time app to update users about their surroundings and go-to places and informs them of any known threats for example; bombing, shooting or any suspicious event which could cause damage to one’s safety. This will help other users to avoid specific premises. CrisisPal will also enable users to add groups as in family members so whenever any of them makes a report of an incident, all members of the group will get the notified instantly. A seriousness of alerts posted by users will be determined by the number of users that confirms the authenticity. The map in the Application displays a pin with user’s location and nearby incidents posted by the others.

Each alert will have a unique icon and a predefined color to differentiate alerts from each other. While posting an alert, the user will have the option of adding an image, short video or even an audio recording. Users will be able to view images and videos on the post detail screen. Also, if the user tried to post an incident of same type and location he/she will get a notification to acknowledge the incident instead of posting it again. This will allow users to keep themselves updated with threatening activities happening in their surroundings.

The user can view public and search posts of other cities and countries. When a user clicks on any location it will take them to the location of the post. As soon as someone post an incident the users who are within .5-100km radius of that incident will receive a notification to confirm the incident. The authenticity of any reported incident will depend on the number of people voting and confirming it.
A push notification will autonomously send information at any time to users within proximity; users dont have to be in the app or using their devices to receive them. Notifications and Alerts will help the users to get a warning of the incidents happening near their current location. The coverage area of notification can be changed for example: if a user wants notification within 2 KM of his current location he/she can set it in the settings of the app.
